Life Hack . . . Wikipedia describes a life hack (or life hacking) as any trick, shortcut, skill, or novelty method that increases productivity and efficiency, in all walks of life.

A number of years ago I was volunteering as a Director of a Non-Profit Agency and we were interviewing for a new Executive Director. While interviewing one of the potential candidates we asked, “what are your salary expectations?” I was surprised by his response “it doesn’t matter” so, I asked him to explain. He told us as a young 20 something he was hired to be a minister of a small church and told that one of the perks of the job was that they provided a house for him to live in. He politely declined and said he’d rather buy his own house. After the job ended he moved on to another community but he did not sell that house, rather, he rented it out and bought another house in his new community. He said he’d done that in each community he’d lived in and now owned 10 revenue properties. He said, “so, it doesn’t matter what I’m paid. I am financially independent from the income of my properties.”

For me, this was a Life Hack ‘aha moment’. It's a plan I’ve adopted for myself. I’ve personally invested in multiple real estate properties. I’m also passionate about helping others journey towards financial freedom through real estate.
